The Museum of the Future in Dubai is an intricate structure, created by local studio Killa Design under Shaun Killa's guidance. An extraordinary feat of computer-aided design and engineering, its construction required years of planning.

Museum of the Future Dubai stands as an architectural and cultural icon just steps from Burj Khalifa. Designed by Killa Design, its distinctive shape features an elliptical void in its center for ease of navigation.

Even with its intricate architecture, the building is eco-friendly, using solar energy for operations. Comprised of seven floors each featuring different themes, this museum displays different exhibits.

The museum features nine exhibition areas that cover themes related to science, technology and sustainability - such as space exploration, health and wellbeing, transportation and more.

The museum is an interactive experience, where science, technology, and environment come together to challenge your perception of what the future may hold for us all. Drawing inspiration from Chinese Feng Shui principles, this space represents hope and innovation.

Located on Sheikh Zayed Road

This innovative attraction in Dubai was built to inspire, taking an unconventional approach to museum exhibits by providing an experimental facility which seeks to shape humanity's future with technology and innovation.

As well as being an architectural marvel, The Dubai Mall stands as an emblematic representation of Dubai's ambition. Over its 50-year evolution from pearl diving backwater to global hub, powered by oil and gas wealth.

Killa Design was selected to design this museum with an innovative facade created by robots and embellished with Arabic calligraphy.

It also takes its call for action against climate change seriously, with passive solar architecture and energy- and water-saving engineering solutions built into its design to reduce carbon emissions. Thus, this building contributes significantly to efforts by the nation to transition away from fossil fuels.

Designed to inspire

Museum of the Future Dubai is an impressive fusion of science and technology, designed to motivate visitors. As its name suggests, its purpose is to foster pioneering concepts, ideas and innovations while offering exhibits, immersive theatre productions and interactive attractions that aim to help answer some of our most pressing global issues.

National Geographic recognized Museum of the Future as one of the 14 must-visit museums worldwide, thanks to its distinctive torus shaped structure that symbolises innovation and invention. Killa Designs designed this structure featuring an elliptical void representing our unknown future; while solid parts represent what is already here.

The facade features 1,024 Arabic calligraphy panels engraved onto aluminum sheets that represent one kilobyte - the unit of storage for computer systems. Each of these engraved panels was created through a sixteen-step process using aviation software construction technology, automation and robotic arms.
