Chimeric Antigen Receptor T-cell (CAR T-cell) therapy is an advanced form of immunotherapy that harnesses the body's own immune system to fight cancer. It involves taking a patient's T-cells (a type of immune cell), genetically modifying them in a laboratory to express a receptor specific to cancer cells, and then re-infusing these enhanced T-cells back into the patient's body.
