Geometry Dash's top platformers over the last decade?
Platformers had a significant revival in the late 2010s. Games like "Celeste," "A Hat in Time," "Journey," and the "Mario" series reintroduced platformers to a large number of players.
"Geometry Dash" stands up as well, if not better, than these other games.
RobTop Games produced the platformer "Geometry Dash," which was launched on August 13, 2013. You play as a cube, traversing through music-based stages while avoiding obstacles that quickly destroy the cube upon collision. The gameplay is easy since there is just one button for controlling the cube. The whole game may be summarized simply clicking to jump. That is it.
It may seem that "Geometry Dash" is shallow and cannot be compared to the other heavy-hitter platformers produced in the 2010s, but this simplicity is just what makes the game so great. There are 21 recognized levels in "Geometry Dash." Each level offers a different degree of difficulty and introduces new elements. The first level, "Stereo Madness," exposes the player to the fundamental game mechanics as well as the ship game style, two of the seven main modes in "Geometry Dash." The game was first published with simply a few stages, but further updates added mechanics, decorations, and game types. Jump pads, spiky balls, flip portals, and many more options are available.
