Today, the Australian construction industry is chained down by a profound mental health crisis and exposes workers to higher risks of mental health challenges than most other industries. The sector boasts a workforce of approximately 87% men. Its suicide rates are staggering; thus, the a need to address the niche challenges unique only to this industry.
This article is our attempt at Mental Construct to tackle this pressing problem head-on. It provides a much-needed examination of a critical issue that has severe consequences if left unaddressed and offers potential solutions to mitigate its impact.
