There was once a method to bypass Windows Defender. To gain access to files and folders not in the Windows Defender system, you needed to access them through the registry. Previously, you could get the list of excluded files and folders by querying the Registry address HKLMSoftwareMicrosoftWindows DefenderExclusions. Microsoft has changed this policy. If you attempt to access it, you will now receive an Access Denied error.
